About

Diamond Bay Golf & Villas lies along the Nha Trang coastline, nestled between the mountains and the sea. Golfers are treated to views of natural marshes, majestic pines, sandy dunes, and the expansive Nha Trang Bay. The 18-hole, par-72 course, designed by Andy Dye, is played as two nines: Ruby on the front and Diamond on the back. It stretches 7,244 yards from the Black tees, with Platinum TE Paspalum from tee to green. Ruby opens with a tee shot over water, climbs into the prevailing wind at the par-5 2nd, and turns toward the sea at the dogleg-right 3rd. Its 6th is a par 3 from an elevated tee to a semi-island green below the mountains, and the 7th, a long par 4 with an approach over water to a narrow green, is the hardest hole on the course. Diamond brings the signature par-3 12th, the "smiling hole," built over the sea, and closes with the 560-yard par-5 18th, which takes three accurate shots to reach in regulation. The course includes a driving range with both indoor and outdoor hitting bays, a putting green, and dedicated chipping and bunker areas. The clubhouse offers a pro shop stocked with apparel and equipment, as well as a restaurant serving snacks, coffee, and beverages.

Hole 1 · Par 4

A tee shot over water opens the round, with a waterside bunker in reach for long hitters. Favouring the left of the fairway leaves a short iron in.

Aim left off the tee for the easiest approach.

Hole 2 · Par 5

An uphill par 5, usually into the prevailing wind. Two solid shots set up an approach to a large, undulating green where the putting decides the score.

Trust your caddie on the reads — the green has plenty of movement.

Hole 3 · Par 5

A dogleg-right par 5 that starts with views out to the sea. From the middle of the fairway, long hitters can go for the green in two; bunkers guard both sides and there is out of bounds behind the undulating green.

Lay up if in doubt — long is out of bounds.

Hole 4 · Par 3

A straightforward par 3 where the sea breeze decides the club. Hit the green and a birdie chance is there.

Check the wind before you pick a club.

Hole 5 · Par 4

Bunkers line the left side of this par 4. Staying just right of centre opens up a clear look at a green with a pot bunker on its right edge.

Stay right of centre off the tee.

Hole 6 · Par 3

One of the course's prettiest par 3s, played from an elevated tee with the mountains behind to a well-protected semi-island green.

Take in the view, then commit to the middle of the green.

Hole 7 · Par 4

The hardest hole on the course: a long par 4 whose approach, often a long iron or fairway wood, carries water to a long, narrow green with a bunker in front.

Take enough club to clear the front bunker.

Hole 8 · Par 4

A wide fairway lets you swing freely, but the prevailing wind and an uphill green call for one or two more clubs than the yardage suggests.

Club up for the approach.

Hole 12 · Par 3

The signature hole: a par 3 played over the sea to a green whose shape from the tee earns it the name "the smiling hole."
