Hole 1 · Par 4

The second-hardest hole on the card. Sandy waste runs the whole left side, a lake sits right of the green, and a bunker guards the green's front left.

Favour the left-centre with the approach: right of the green is water.

Hole 2 · Par 4

Water runs down the entire right side, from tee to green. Sandy scrub and bunkers line the left, and a bunker sits in the middle of the fairway about 110 yards out.

Take a left-centre line; everything right is water.

Hole 3 · Par 5

A par 5 with rice paddies down the right. A bunker guards the right of the landing area, and the upper fairway near the green has a large bunker in its middle.

Choose a layup that stays short of, or wide of, the bunker in the upper fairway.

Hole 4 · Par 4

A long par 4 with rice paddies down the left. Bunkers sit right of the fairway in the driving zone and around the front of the green.

Stay left of the right-hand bunkers off the tee.

Hole 5 · Par 3

A par 3 over sandy scrub framed by palms, to a wide green with bunkers short and left.

Miss right rather than short left, where the bunkers are.

Hole 6 · Par 4

A par 4 with a creek down the left and sandy scrub and rocks on the right.

Keep it in the fairway: the creek runs down the left.

Hole 7 · Par 4

The tee shot crosses a creek to a fairway broken up by bunkers, with two in the middle of the fairway about 111 and 140 yards out. More bunkers ring the green.

Check your carry over the centre-fairway bunkers before choosing a club off the tee.

Hole 8 · Par 3

A short par 3 across a creek and sandy waste, to a green with bunkers along its front and right.

Take enough club to clear the bunkers in front.

Hole 9 · Par 4

The easiest hole on the card, a short par 4. Big sandy waste areas line the left, and a tree-filled bunker sits in the middle of the fairway about 120 yards from the green.

Stay short of the central bunker, or play to the right of it.

Hole 10 · Par 4

A river runs down the whole left side and then crosses in front of the green, so the approach must carry it. Two large bunkers sit in the middle of the fairway, about 134 and 154 yards out.

Leave yourself a shot you are confident will carry the river.

Hole 11 · Par 3

A short par 3 to a long green framed by rocks and trees on the left, with sandy waste on the right.

Hole 12 · Par 4

The tee shot crosses water to a wide fairway. A row of bunkers crosses the fairway about 100 to 110 yards from the green, and there is water left of the green.

Know your carry over the cross bunkers before taking driver.

Hole 13 · Par 4

A river runs down the whole left side and crosses in front of the green. A bunker sits in the middle of the fairway about 167 yards out, and bunkers guard the green.

The approach must carry the river: lay up to a comfortable yardage if you need to.

Hole 14 · Par 3

A long par 3 over sandy waste to a big green, with bunkers on the right and waste ground on the left.

Miss left rather than right, where the bunkers are.

Hole 15 · Par 5

A par 5 with a creek running down the right. The fairway narrows toward a green tucked among sandy waste.

Keep the second shot left of the creek.

Hole 16 · Par 4

Waste bunkers line both sides of the fairway, and bunkers guard the front left of the green.

Favour the centre: both sides are sand.

Hole 17 · Par 4

The hardest hole on the course: a long par 4 with sandy waste and native grasses down both sides and around the green.

If you are not long off the tee, play it as a three-shot hole; bogey is a good score here.

Hole 18 · Par 5

The longest hole, a closing par 5. Sandy waste runs down the left, a big bunker sits right of the landing area, and a bunker in the middle of the layup zone, about 140 yards out, splits the fairway.

Plan the layup around the central bunker about 140 yards from the green.
